The Mug That Started It All (And Why I Almost Didn't Make It)
4 min read ยท April 20, 2026
Here is a thing I never planned to do: start a product shop.
I had enough going on. Four apps in development, a toddler, a blog I just launched. The last thing I needed was another project. And then one random afternoon I was designing something in Canva โ just for fun, just for myself โ and I made a mug that said "Building in Real Time."
I stared at it for a second and thought: I would genuinely buy this.
And then I thought: I bet other people building things in real time would buy this too.
"Goods & Goodies wasn't a business plan. It was a mug that felt too true not to make real."
Why I almost didn't do it
Imposter syndrome is real, y'all. I kept thinking โ who am I to have a shop? I'm not a designer. I don't have a warehouse. I don't know anything about products.
And then I remembered: I don't have to. That's what print-on-demand is for. I design it, someone orders it, it gets made fresh and shipped straight to them. No inventory in my living room. No risk. Just creativity and intention.
So I made the mug. And then I made a few more. And now we have a whole shop.
What's in the shop right now
Mugs ($22): Building in Real Time, Higher Me Morning Mug, I'm Just Talking Mug โ all designed for the mom who is also building something and needs her coffee cup to know it.
Journals & Planners ($24โ$28): The Founder's Daily Planner, The Manifestation Journal โ because your thoughts deserve a beautiful place to live.
