Paddle Said No. Here's What I'm Doing About It.

I promised you no fake launches and no pretending, so here's a real one from this week: I got rejected.

Higher Me — my 30-day manifestation app — is done. Built, tested, live. The one thing standing between it and its first sale was connecting a payment company so people could actually check out. I picked one, set it all up, submitted my site... and they said no. My business didn't fit their terms.

"A finished product that can't take a payment is just a very pretty volunteer project."

The gut-punch part

I'm not going to pretend it didn't sting. You build the whole thing, you get to the very last step, and a stranger you'll never meet decides your work doesn't qualify. For about an hour I let myself feel like the universe was making a point.

And then I remembered: this is just plumbing. It's not a verdict on the app, or on me. It's one vendor with one policy. There are others.

What I'm actually doing

Switching to a different payment processor — one built to handle exactly the kind of thing I'm selling. It's a little more setup on my end, but it doesn't hold my whole business hostage to one company's mood. And honestly? Rerouting around a "no" is 90% of what building anything actually is.

So Higher Me isn't stuck. It's just taking the long way to the same place — able to take a payment, in your hands, doing what I built it to do.
